I have found trivago and other comparison sites don't always give you the best deals on hotels, I looked on Olympic holidays just to book a hotel not a flight or holiday package.
The hotel I was looking at was at least £60 less on Olympic holidays, than several other sites, for a 10 night stay.

You should have booked the hotel through hotels.co.uk
You could have:
Got hotels.co.uk to price match
Got cash back through quidco
Got one free nights stay through the hotels.co.uk loyalty program0 -
