    hi guys!

this is a new thread ONLY for what you have tried and liked or for comments about ingredients for people allergic / sensitive to new ingredients.

i thought it was about time we started a new thread which is NOT complaining about delivery times etc.

so... to start off with my faves are as follows:

cadburys choc melting pots - had two orders so far!
night and day coffee - got about 15 x 250g in stock - love it and have given some to mum
peanut butter - only got 6 jars but oh is so pleased
nutella - great for a quick choccy fix!
splenda sweetner - fantastic for oh as diabetic
satay chicken - trying it out tomorrow but looks good (and i used to work in a chinese resturant!)

so this thread is JUST ABOUT THE FOOD!!! please no nasty comments - lets just talk food (my fave subject!)

    thank you to all
    loki x
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!!

I tried the Betty Crocker chocolate icing yesterday and it was lovely! Had to stop myself eating it out of the tub and actually put some on the cakes I had made!

    World Harvest Cous Cous Tomato
Ingredients Dried cous sous 80% (from Wheat), Tomato powder 6%,salt,Vegetable oil, yeast extract, sugar, dried onion, dried black olives, dried herbs, flavourings,Hydrolysed vegetable protein (contains soya),colour(paprika extract), dried garlic, citric acid,Hydrogenated vegetable oil
Suitable for vegetarians, low in fat
Allergy advice: contains Wheat and Soya
(had to type that out by hand, thankfully the web provides most or my fingers would wear out )

I'll have to wait until tomorrow to continue as busy for rest of day - not got round to the soups etc yet and if as Dan said there have been items held back and going to be available to order soon they need doing, but not time now, so if someone could do the honours would be nice

Edit: Bah had a bit of bad news so will have to put this on hold till sorted out. Haven't even had chance to try the food so can't even give a review. I'll continue where I left off when I get back.

Sarah, of course it was nice with 2 pieces of buttered toast! On it's own it's pretty lame

I'm not sure if anyone has reported about the flapjacks? Anyway I think they are truly awful, don't waste your time ordering any as they are vile

Although i think its all down to indivdual taste. The yogart bars ( balisto bars ) are nice as well. Must order more.

The satay kits are great, even my husband tried it and he doesnt like satay! The Minute bars are very pleasant, the fruity flavour is nice. Balisto bars are also delicious, from my drooling dog's face she thought so too!
The Coke with vitamins is different to normal Coke but still very tasty, I agree with what the other poster said about the Hib drinks, they have a strangely flowery taste, something about them also reminds me of honey, quite sweet but not overly so. I tried the Slimfast breakfast this morning, it was not unpleasant but was a little bland. Simple facial wipes were exactly as they should be and the Pledge dusters work a treat on our black tv and other electricals. I will post more when I have tried everything!

the full of beans bags of fruit and nuts are great and would cost SO much normally
the rice pot meals are fine for a quick meal
the mi wadi drinks are liked by my kids and in fact they are made by britvic if you look at the label AFAIK they are fruit shoots under a different name
the lloyd grossman sauces we have had korma with prawns, chicken and veg all worked well, the tikka masala with chicken and that too was nice.
not tried the lemon and ginger yet but it looks very chinese takeaway type of sauce
way back when we had the limbos the kids were not too keen but i liked them, but the snack a jack popcorn was VERY popular

Don't come into this thread very often as it makes me want to order stuff I really shouldn't be eating, but - the salad cream, do you have to order 12 bottles of the stuff, it seems to read like that on the site? (irrelevant at the moment because it's out of stock anyway)
  • cruella de vile
Thanks for the info on the mi wadi drinks, I was a bit wary of ordering something I hadn't heard of!

Mistymaid, I started an order the other day and it let me add individual bottles of the salad cream. HTH.
