    Back to the original post...

I just bought a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker from Amazon in one of the Cyber Monday lightning deals.

I knew that the discs were expensive from the outset. Pretty much like a lot of things: printer ink, Oral B brush heads, Gillette razor blades....

However, what did surprise me was that when I checked the prices direct from Tassimo's and compared them to the supermarkets and Amazon for my favourite T-discs - Tassimo was cheaper for all apart from one. Amazon was cheaper but this was based on buying 5 packs. (It worked out more expensive for all other T-discs).

I posted a request for a discount code but had no joy. I'm sure its been asked before but has anyone found a cheaper source of T-discs? I'm interested in other people's experiences of buying T-discs for their Tassimo machine.

I was talking to my sister who lives in Switzerland but is here for Christmas. She was saying Nespresso is treated as a designer brand in their stores etc in Switzerland and its like a status symbol. She said that she thinks the coffee from Tassimo which is mucher nice than Nespresso.

    Tassimo & Amazon
Buy your T-Disc through the Amazon Subscribe & Save system and get 15% off. Takes a bit of effort to find 5 items to buy regularly so as to get the 15%. Work out how many days it takes to drink 80 cups on average, and then order on a cycle which suits (1, 2 3 months etc).
My wife can only drink decaf but I drink Kenco Americano Grande or Columbian so there are 3 items to make up our 5. We add to that a regular order of decaf tea (not tassimo) and any 1 more of a number of products such as chia / poppy / flax / etc seeds.

An oldish thread but I thought I'd chip in.
We have Tassimo and Nespresso machines. The latter was purchased in the last Currys post xmas sale. Simply because Nespresso pods were considerably cheaper at most shops. Infact, until recently. B&M were selling a box of 20 pods for less than 2.00. And it was good coffee. Not bad, at 10p per cup! My daughter bought my Tassimo machine for me a few Christmases back. And was so impressed. She bought herself one too! So we have a spare in the attic.
So far, I have only found one supermarket that sells Tassimo milk pods. And that is Tescos metro in Gallions reach. East London.
