Hey puddycat & becca0417, I'm also 2nd June! Think that weekend is going to be popular with the Jubilee! We got engaged last Sept, spent a long time hunting around researching venues (ended up being one of the 1st ones we started looking at, lol!) But yippee, it's official and now all booked up as of Tuesday.... I'm all giddy with excitement!

I'm 4th June and we are looking at sending out our save the date sometime in teh next 6 weeks - what with it being long weekend and everything

Hi Becca and Littlemiss.

2nd June is a good weekend to get wed. You can have a 4 day celebration and you don't need to book as much annual leave off work for the honeymoon :j

Another big factor for us was the football. We're both into football and so are our friends and family so we always had to avoid the football season and euro championships/world cups. We couldn't imagine anything worse than England playing on our wedding day and everyone nipping off to watch the footie or turning up late. So with Euro 2012 starting on the 8th June the wedding was planned for the 2nd June. Then we found out about the Jubilee bank holiday so that was an added bonus for us.

We were thinking of sending out our save the dates towards the end of March.

The whole day is at The Riverside Hotel in Burton on Trent.

Hiya, i got engaged n my b'day (17th july) last year and were hoping to get married on the 16th june 2012 but were still in disagreement over the venue lol xx

We've had so many disagreements already. The venue, the date, the budget, the latest one is how big the guestlist is going to be for the day. He wants to invite pretty much everyone and I want to keep the day fairly low key and go to town in the evening.
