Sorry didn’t mean to be awkward by not setting a target, never done a MSE Challenge before or tracked these things so really lost as what to estimate.

Would £100 be too conservative? I’m worried about over stretching myself and not being able to hit my targets :/

    Hi AWPTheo

There's no right or wrong target. It all depends on our circumstances, whether you plan to round to the nearest £5, £10 etc and how often you plan to do a transfer. The guideline is each week but some members have transferred more often than this in previous challenges.

There's a section in the update form to allow you to inform Westie983 of a change of target during the challenge if you wish. So you could start at £100 and work upwards if you want to, depending on how you get on.

    Hi Westie983

Just seen this post. I can view the new spreadsheet correctly. The update form itself is still showing 2017, but looks as though it will submit correctly.

If there's not an easy fix, maybe just pop a note in the first post so that members are aware of it.

    Hi Kim_13

Thanks for this, I think I have been able to change it to 2018. Can you please check again for me.

I have changed the title and the year in one of the questions.

Thanks also for explaining the challenge to AWPTheo.

£100 is fine, like Kim_13 has explained you can change this up or down as the challenge goes on.

I just like have a total of all challengers so one, it keeps you motivated and we can see how well we are doing as a group.

I will update the target now for you.

    Hi all,

Can I please have some targets for those of you that havent done so.

I know some of you dont want to have a goal but it can be anything if you want and can be increased or decreased as the challenge goes on..

We are nearly ready to go, we are on the starting blocks...

  • Hi everyone, can I join? I've done this on and off for a few years but determined to come back this year and stay on top of my finances. I was always 29 on the previous years so can I have that number again? I'm hoping for £100 but may change that as the year goes on.

Happy New Year to you all  hope there are not too many sore heads this morning!

Thank you for the reassurances, and for explaining things, I did read through the main post twice but still shaky on my feet! £100 sounds good for now.

Will be transferring every Friday as I usually do, but whether it’s to the nearest £5 or £10 will depend how I’m sitting money wise! Will aim for nearest £10 though.
