    I'm working on that one. Not to bothered whether I succeed or fail....last year, I made a small profit on one of my trips. Due to incompetence, one of the railway companies refunded me twice for one of my journeys. I just cashed in both cheques to make the profit. So if I don't recover the £10 admin fee(s), I'm not to bothered !:):rotfl::)

    not bad i got some good compo last year. got a bargain ticket of ebay for £15 (face value £40) did me journey and the train was delayed by over an hour so got 50% compo = £5 up :j

    Just had a quick look and Scotrail have only released their cheap Advance tickets up to 25th March. Did a quick search on the 21st and there's lots of cheap £8.75 advance tickets each way (1adult and 1 child with railcard), the £42 fare is a Super Off Peak return which will stay the same price now and on the day of travel.

    So if your travelling after the 25th March, you need to wait a little bit longer, use this website to see when there released. Also advance tickets are normally release on the Thursday or Friday weekly.

    Not illegal to claim Delay Repay Compensation from any ticket you have bought. However, buying tickets off Ebay is not allowed and Ebay as an 'online retailer' has a responsibility to remove these tickets once reported but some do get through.

    That's the problem with Ebay, people use it to off load things there not meant to; ie railway tickets, backup games or my personnel favourite Sky TV 50% discount codes (Free to acquire sold on Ebay for £50+)

    So what and who cares about the railway companies ? especially when they con people and stats by avoiding paying compensation to passengers by cancelling hundreds of trains in the cold weather.

    Yep...a bit like train companies increasing fares and seasons tickets way above inflation after they have conned people and stats by avoiding paying compensation to passengers by cancelling hundreds of trains in the cold weather. :):rotfl::)
