  • Thank you so much for the support - this is 400 miles  but we already have plans for him to come to me next weekend and me to him 2 weeks after.

Doing a mix of planes and trains just now and you're right, booking in advance definitely seems to be the way forward...

I asked him what we'd do if things got serious down the line and he said we would talk about our options if and when the time comes. God he's so lovely :o

So happy things went well :D
  • NSD yesterday, woohoo :-)

Not so much today as I'll be meeting a colleague after work for some food, drinks and a catchup. Plan is to hit spoons so hopefully shouldn't be too spendy...

  • Spent £34.31 yesterday on drinks, food, travel and a new mascara as mine had gone dry. Not toooo bad...

Looking at my budget and I'll have £881 to play with this month after all my bills have come out, with all travel to London already paid for.. so why am I panicking?!

    Need to chill...

  • Hi All.

A super quiet weekend as I've been down with a bug since late Friday :-( currently working from home and feeling rather sorry for myself.

Payday has been and gone and I have £654.03 left in my account post-bills and mortgage payments. I'd like to save some of this ideally but I know it's my first "proper month" with my mortgage so going to take it easy on myself. Getting my hair done next weekend (about £90) and my nails and brows done tomorrow (£50) so realistically £500ish left to play with.

The man I'm seeing is coming up this weekend... SO can't wait to see him argh!

  • Spent a good bit more than I intended to... have about £300 left post-hair and nails... I have made £50 on ebay which I intend on adding to this. So worth it though, I had such a fabulous weekend with my new man. I am finding the distance really hard but he is so incredible that it almost makes the sad times worth it.

Hoping I can scrimp the next couple of weeks and be left with a wee drop of cash. Going to London next Thursday for a long weekend which will be my main spend this month but I need to keep costs down otherwise.

  • After a quick finance shuffle... I have £380.60 to last me this month. I have plenty of food in for lunch both this week and next so hoping to keep costs relatively low. Hoping I can maybe save £150 of this... need motivation!

  • Update: ended up out for drinks with one of our partner companies two nights in a row. Had some beautiful food and drink which they mostly paid for but I bought a couple rounds/paid for taxis home.

£316.38 in the bank and £9 in my purse. Not doing anything crazy this weekend... getting my hair done which I've budgeted for separately and I think I'll go see my mum on Saturday night so should be a quiet one :-) off to some leaving drinks tomorrow but not planning on going crazy..

  • Spent £2 yesterday on a bus and £4 today on an all-day ticket. I have a colleague's leaving drinks tonight but contemplating staying on the softs or just sticking to a glass or two of wine... it's been such a long week so looking to get home early-ish tonight so should be fairly cheap :-)

Otherwise, weekend shouldn't be too spendy.
