    Welcome Ginger
We started buying after our gender scan at just over 16 weeks.
I am 20 weeks + 5 days now. We had our scan yesterday which confirmed our gender scan, a little girl will be joining our family. All is well ☺️

Ginger, I bought odd bits off eBay as it was a good price but waited to get a lot of stuff until after the 20 week scan, mainly just to check all was ok. Same with telling folk, I put a post up after the 20 week scan. I got carried away on a few Facebook posts when chatting on mumsnet and the like so a few found out earlier than I’d have liked, but I forgot how many posts end up elsewhere. But I’ve seen folk announce and buy stuff from the off.

I’ll be joining the other post a week tomorrow. I feel like it’s flying

    Hi All

Was on the less than 12 weeks but with Christmas ect forgot to upgrade threads so to speak

So I'm 14 weeks 4 days now and doing ok had our first official scan on the 17th Dec and all is looking good which is a relief as we had a threatened miscarriage at around week 9 or so and had to wait 10 days for a scan to confirm either way unfortunately OH couldn't attend that one but was there for the 17th.

Told all our family Christmas Eve and got mixed emotions OH's brothers couldn't have given a monkeys but my brother is over the moon and I think more excited than me and OH put together which I was really shocked at.

Did a BIG baby shop on the 27th we have ordered our pram, furniture, raincover, changing bag, baby seat, bottle sterliser and bouncing chair and got quite a bit off in the sale. Already have a stack of clothes and my Nan is on the verge of causing a national wool shortage with the amount shes been knitting for us

Putting off buying anything else now till we have our anomoly scan on the 8th Feb hoping to find out what we are having as seeing the MIL the next day as going to Birmingham to see Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest with OH so hoping to go on a massive spending spree with her in the Bull Ring. Hoping it'll behave better than it did at the first scan!

Properly showing now and have been since the start of December but seem to have stayed the same size since then but from what my mum told me she was the same with me so hopefully that's a sign it's a girl lol

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

    Wow Faith you sound organised!

Weíve only bought a couple of small items in the sales. Weíve seen a lot that we like but I want to wait until after the 20 week scan before buying the big things. Weíre not finding out the gender and Iíve found that thereís not a lot of neutral things that I like which is probably a good thing, otherwise I would go crazy!

Is anyone else not showing at all? Iím 13 weeks tomorrow and still fitting comfortably into my clothes.

GingerSaurus - I think I moved into maternity jeans around the 13-14 week mark (but I did stop wearing some tighter clothes before that point). I tend to wear high waisted jeans etc though so less forgiving. Looking back through my photos I 'popped' at around 20 weeks, but could hide it quite easily until around 28. It was a bit easier as we moved into cold weather season, but you'll still be in winter clothes for a little while

Thanks Faith, you’ve reminded me that I wanted to go to Aldi tomorrow morning. I ordered a few things when the sale started online but some things I wanted were already sold out or in store only.

Over the past week I’ve noticed that my jeans have become much tighter. I still don’t have a bump, I just look like I overindulged at Christmas! I’m not sure whether it’s time for maternity jeans yet or if I should just buy a bigger size for now, any thoughts?

I think the new look maternity jeans are lovely and very comfy Ginger, and they'd last a while if you were to get them now and grow with your bump
I've just been living in bigger sized leggings!

    Hi all

Havenít been on here for a while! Had 12 week scan on NYE and all OK, due date moved by 2 days to the 13th July. I donít have much of a bump either, just looks like Xmas podge to me. My jeans are definitely tighter though and so been wearing more dresses with tights/leggings. Iím tempted to try on a bigger size jean tomorrow to see how they feel before I move to maternity jeans - donít feel ready for those yet!!

I have bought a few maternity bits in the sales though to try. Mainly because they were massively reduced (summer dresses) and we are going to Spain for a week in April and will need some lighter clothes.

Also been buying a few bits for baby, mainly clothes but got a Moses bases and a couple of other bits from ALDI yesterday. Trying to rein in the purchasing as well aware things can still go wrong (my friend had a MC at 15 weeks at the weekend) but itís proving quite difficult...

I’m the same, we haven’t bought anything big yet but baby has quite a lot of clothes already. Every time I see my mum she’s bought it something else as well!

I told my boss yesterday and plan on telling the rest of my team next week. It’s all starting to seem more real now!

My mum was the same with me though got big quickly but then it levelled out so fingers crossed that's the same lol

Brought lots of bits in the aldi sale and some in the dunelm sale today and for all my trouble Moshie (nickname for the bump) has paid me back by giving me chronic heartburn at 3am the pass two mornings and it's been constant today at this rate I'm buying shares in indigestion tablets plus if the old wives tale is true about heartburn meaning a hairy baby I think I'm carrying one of Chewbecca's relatives!

Haha, you will have to report back after baby is born Faith to see if itís true!

I havenít told work yet, thinking of telling HR in the next couple of weeks but really donít want to tell my current manager, we donít exactly get along and she is only interim. Hoping for some more news on our teams situation by the end of the month so will probably tell her then but only if I really have to!
