ParkingEye pursuing fee for free parking:
Parking appeals raised on Resolver, are instantly rejected by ParkingEye.

ParkingEye incorrect fine. History below is a brief summary & does not come close to time & effort spent.
Owner / driver PPPP SSSSSS
Car reg: YYYY ZZZZZ
POPLA Ref: 6061939321
1. 17/05/19 Attended training by N&C (Nicholls & Clark Group) at Holiday Inn, Southampton (Free parking for attendees).
2. On arrival reception confirmed free parking for attendees.
3. On departure receptionist stated car Reg number must be entered on desk terminal & supervised data entry.
4. 24/05/19 Received ParkingEye parking fine by post.
5. 24/05/19 Course attendee & N&C sales Mgr. confirmed no parking fee due on any N&C course.
6. Spoke to Holiday Inn reception who confirmed no parking fee due & referred me to ParkingEye.
7. 24/05/19 Raised appeal with ParkingEye detailing above & proof of attendance by providing contact details of:
7.1 Holiday Inn 023 8038 8100. reservations@hisouthampton.com.
7.2 Sales Mgr., N&C, Tel: XXXXX YYYYYY AAAA.BBBBBB@nichollsandclarke.com (Course attendee on day).
7.3 National Business Dev Mgr., N&C, Tel: XXXXX YYYYYY AAAAA.BBBBBBB@nichollsandclarke.com (Course tutor).
8. Appeal rejected by ParkingEye.
9. 11/07/19 Received letter from Parking Eye advising pay fine or repeat appeal.
10. 11/07/19 Advised by National Business Dev Mgr (N&C) to seek redress through an Ombudsman service.
11. 11/07/19 Spoke to parking penalty ombudsman service who advised to contact POPLA ombudsman on 0330 1596126.
12. 11/07/19 Spoke to POPLA 0330 1596126 & was presented with three options on automated system.
Option 1: People seeking advice.
Option 2: People wishing to discuss existing (POPLA) appeals.
Option 3: People wishing to raise a new appeal.
This produced:
Option 1: Recorded voice advising POPLA do not give advice & terminating call.
Option 2: Clearly not relevant.
Option 3: Recorded message stating POPLA do not accept appeals by phone.
13. 12/07/19 Followed instruction from ParkingEye & repeated same appeal.
14. 12/07/19 Parking Eye rejected appeal due to lack of evidence.
15. 12/07/19 Further appeal raised with POPLA. POPLA have advised that my only redress, should they reject my appeal, is to take ParkingEye to the small claims court which will cost several hundred pounds.
16. 12/07/19 Advised by Citizens Advice to raise appeal on Resolver.
17. 12/07/19 Raised appeal on Resolver web site.
18. 12/07/19 Received instant rejection of appeal from ParkingEye via Resolver web site. Thus ParkingEye are rejecting all appeals from Resolver web site.
19. 12/07/19 Advised Citizen’s Advice of automated appeal rejection via Resolver web site.
20. 12/07/19 Requested Resolver to re-examine appeal.

    I suggest you have a quick conflab with Holiday Inn who seems to have promised you could park for free.

    Hopefully they will agree that you pay the parking charge (to get the parking company off your immediate back) and Holiday Inn then refund you accordingly.

    Although if this was a training course, there were presumably many others similarly affected, and Holiday Inn may already have an alternative immedaite resolution in place for the delegates that attended.

    Have you brought this to the attention of the Nicholls & Clark Group who seem to have made the hotel reservation for this training course? Maybe they have agreed a resolution with the hotel?
