Travel insurance

In September last Year my partner and I booked a 10 Day holiday leaving on June 10th this year.
I'm looking at sorting our travel insurance, but I have a question and I apologize if I am being daft.
When I'm asked when I want the policy to start from do I put the day I buy the policy or do I put the day we leave for our holiday?

Depends upon the policy you buy

Annual policy starts now.

Single trip starts now but you state the start and end of the trip

Next time buy insurance as soon as you book!!

I just want single trip, so policy start date will be 10th June? which is when we leave.

I would read this and also the comments about TIF Group [alpha, puffin, holidaysafe etc (front page of the Times newspaper in Nov alleging fraud). Check if it is a TIF Group policy.

Yes.

But get it asap. You could get run over by a bus at any time!

A large part of buying travel insurance from the day you book is for the cancellation cover. Make sure you answer all questions accurately and tell them about all pre-existing medical conditions.

You need it to start thr day you get it..ASAP.. If you are taken I'll and can't travel you won't get a refund..do it soon
