Parking in Biarritz

I'm heading out to Biarritz next weekend for a week away. We've booked an apartment right in the city centre (Rue de Proutze), and we have a car to do some exploring and visit some friends inland.

However, there's no parking space with the apartment, so I'm wondering where we'll be able to leave the car when we're not using it. Is there free on-street parking anywhere near the city centre? Or failing that, I'm happy to pay a reasonable amount for long-term parking.

What are our options? Can anyone with knowledge / experience help? It's my first visit to this part of France.

Email the hotel/owner for suggestions. Or for stuff as destination specific as this the Tripadvisor forums are good.
