    Hi Purple,

Massive pain:mad::mad::mad: about the washing machine but it's a necessity and over the long run will be far cheaper than the alternative of launderettes and stuff.

Unless of course you have a stream at the bottom of your garden and two big rocks you can clash together!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Chalk it up to life's rich tapestry and keep battling forward!!

  • Hi,

I've been more lurking this week rather than posting.

DH has had three interviews, one has come back as a no, one he's seeing again next week and he's waiting to hear back on if they want to see him again.

My agency bloke is still trying to get an answer out of the company, we've agreed between us that if no response after a week, then they're not interested in offering me something permanent, so we'll start looking nearer to home.

DH is still priority as he's due to leave his company at the end of next month, with me I'll bumble along until something comes my way as I am still getting paid.

Pay day tomorrow and I can make payments to the CC's.

I need to think of a plan of attack for next year, especially in terms of attacking the LC!

I've failed on the NSD's this month, I was aiming for 10. I have also failed on the LTW's as this week has been too hectic to think about it.
  • I was once told that its a good idea to make a plan of where you want to be in 6 years from now. I was told that the plan should be no more than 5-6 items, any more than it is overwhelming and any less and you have nothing to aim for. I have done this most of my life, sometimes it works and sometimes 'life' gets in the way and the plan doesn't happen.

I have thought for sometime about where I want to be financially and I have made my plan and finalised it.
    • All annual bills paid in full each year
    • All debt paid off – Aim 5 years
    • Money in savings
    • Overpay mortgage
    • Budget better

DS will be coming up to 20 and DD will be coming up to 17 by then and I don't want this to carry on, I'd like for us to help them financially if and when they need it.

My personal six year plan is a lot different but moving house was on it and that has happened, so that is going the right way.

Need to put this on this diary, so I remember what I am aiming for!
  • Woo hoo!!! DH has a second interview with the one he saw yesterday, both are next Tuesday...fingers crossed he'll have an offer from both by next Friday and he can then choose which to go for.

    September round up

    • Read my book - Same as above
    • Surveys - Need to keep plodding on with these
    • Car Insurances - They are due and need to find a cheaper deal

    Things coming up in October

DD has her Big Gig concert with the Guides
    SiL & BiL's birthdays
Kids Half term and Inset day

September threw us a curve ball and I wasn't expecting it to turn out the way it did, but it's just a glitch that's all.

Pay day tomorrow, so I can shuffle money about and put some money in my pots, first proper month I can do :)

    Sorry for the long post.
