Switching from Sky to 1st Utility

Our current supplier is Sky and it's crept up from £15 to £25 a month.

Want to switch to a 1st Utility deal for £17 a month.

Should I inform Sky first or will the new supplier inform Sky that they are taking over?

Sorry, bit naive but I don't want to pay new supplier until Sky is informed.

  • Assuming you are outside of the minimum contract months so can leave without exit fees, then No don't talk to Sky.
The new ISP will handle everything for you.

(The only exceptions are if the old ISP is Virgin Media, another cable company or an FTTP/H company like Hyperoptic as these companies must be cancelled by the consumer when moving away)
