Alfie! yes yes yes!! How exciting re codd bottles we found one under our floor boards with where we lived on it..it survived all this time there only to be knocked over by the Cat ! Was interesting for us as we know the houses where built by people outside the county so they must have popped to the local shop. Also found a great deal of things over the years tucked between floorboards , in the garden etc.
Good evening to all! We have a ton of nursery spiders in our garden, we have our boarders full of poppies every year and they love them, so fascinating to watch. We had a wonderful weekend how quickly did the weather change though , saturday was totally wonderful, Sunday not so and I had ear marked that day for gardening.
If anyone has a Dobbies nearby I recommend the Little seedlings club it's a monthly free gardening club for 5-10 years . We made daff windmills, planted lettuce , learned about seasonal produce , whilst I had a coffee bliss.
So nice to feel at home here, it seems we all like the same things, a nice simple, peaceful life . I'm off to knit , have a fab evening xCompers challenge 27/70

Morning all. DD2s family went home about Eight last night so children slept on journey. We all had a good weekend started great with the weather then soon deteriated. Still it was great to see them and the children had a great time with their cousin.
Sheils pleased you are having a good time meals sound a bargain.
Mummy2threeboys this year our forsythia has lasted the longest I can remember despite the weather. Gardening club sounds great.
Alfie and Firefly great to hear you have enjoyed being busy in garden.
Well very dull here now. Have DD1s son here this week every day so hope to take him out this afternoon.
Take care all and good luck.0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone
It seems as if most of us have had rain at some point!
The rain arrived here yesterday afternoon, carried on all
night long but thankfully has eased off this morning! Still
remaining mild though.
Apparently we may see the sun later on today! Fingers
n' paws crossed.
The Little Seedlings Club sounds brilliant mummy2. I
think it's an excellent idea to involve children in fun
activities - garden related. :T Plus it's free :money: & you
get to relax with a cuppa :coffee: ..... even better!
Must say your house and garden sound an interesting
treasure trove of all things lovely. :j
Lol at your cat knocking over the Codd bottle after you
found it stashed away under the floorboards! :rotfl::rotfl:
I agree with you. :A We're all a lovely bunch in here and
get on soooo well. Long may it last.yesterday one of the residents planted a couple of
apple trees in the community gardens

to pick fresh ones
when they are ready
:T Brilliant fire**fly! Such a wonderful thing to do. :T
Me thinks that the home-grown fruit will be far more
scrumptious  than shop bought produce. :j
I'm a follower of the excellent 'Woodland Trust' and
really looking forward to watching this programme next

Talking of the Woodland Trust, they posted a very sweet
poem t'other day which I'd love to share ...
Bluebell Time - Enid Blyton
Oh, bluebell time is here again
And every little elf
Has picked a tiny bell to make
A bonnet for herself!
And all the brownies pick them too
To ring them as they go,
Jingle-jingle, hear the tune,
The prettiest one they know!
I'd like to creep into the wood
And see the bonnets blue,
And hear the bluebells ringing loud,
I wish I could - don't you?

Lovely to hear about your wonderful weekend with family &
GKs leanfun. :j Have a brilliant week with DD1s son and
hope you manage to get out this afternoon.
On a general note - can't believe I almost missed National
Unicorn Day yesterday! Had no idea of Scotland's Unicorn
heritage, even though my lovely Mum :A was a bonnie
Scottish lassie (born and bred), & I've visited Scotland many
a time over the years & hadn't even noticed the bloomin'
obvious! :rotfl:
