PIP evidence

I know that PIP requires evidence to be <2 years old.

I won a PIP tribunal 13 months ago. Could I use the tribunal SOR (which doesn't mention any reason why my award was so short) as evidence in my current PIP claim?

So far I have letters from 3 specialists, letter from the DVLA, the job description for my PA/carer.

My GP doesn't write letters (not even for a fee) and the DWP failed to contact any of my specialists last time round.

There's no reason why you can't use the SOR, or you can try. May i ask what evidence you have from DVLA? It's not unusal for them not to contact anyone for evidence because mostly they don't.

When I failed to transition from DLA to PIP last year I applied for a driving license so that I could reapply for my bus pass.

Even though I'm a definite no on the grounds of blackouts they called me in for extra tests because I have a visual impairment not fully corrected by glasses (constant double vision).

I got copies of the test results as the consultants I work with weren't convinced that the DVLA could carry out any sort of meaningful orthoptic assessment and they were right but I do now have evidence that I use an aid other than glasses for reading (I either use a screen reader or a magnifier as the prisms in my glasses can only help for so long when reading normal print).

I scored 10 daily living points last time so the extra 2 would boost my award but if it doesn't happen then I won't mind. I feel like I should be double enhanced but some things aren't worth the fighting

That's nice, I had to go to tribunal with documents from a whole host of specialists from physiotherapists to specialist heart transplant consultants

Just to say I won my tribunal with no real evidence. All I had was a GP letter which gave the diagnosis.

I have recently gone through the transition from DLA to PiP...whilst it was gruelling and the report contains multiple inaccuracies, I did actually end up with the award that I felt was justified.

They had my GP details and my permission to contact him - for whatever reason they didn't get in touch with him.

However, I enclosed evidence with my claim - including a specialist report that is 10 years old. The HCP report (and the Decision Maker/s report which was just a word-for-word copy of the HCP) referred to this letter on multiple occasions, and stated that despite the fact that it was older than they would have liked, it refers in detail to an ongoing condition, and the report is accepted as accurate form my condition today.

So, I would send any relevant evidence, even if it is more than 2 years old...they do sometimes accept it.
