12 month rolling contract and redundancy

Hi. I’ve been on a rolling contract for the past 8 years.
Basically I can only hand my notice in on the last two weeks of the start date of my contract (feb)
And my contract auto renews each year
I’m now being mde redundant as of the 21st of this month.
I’m getting 3 months notice pay and only a meager statutory redundancy payment.
My question is... should they have to pay out my salary up to the notice point of my contract? (Next feb) or can they just make me redundant regardless of when I would be able to hand my notice in.
Thanks

your notice requirement apply to you not the employer.

Depends on the exact wording of your contract and whether or not that gives them the right to terminate with notice. If there is no right for them to terminate then it could be a breach of contract.
Assuming there has been no break in service the past 8 years, you are owed at least 8 weeks notice, which they can pay if you don't work it (more if your contract specifies more) plus redundancy pay based on 8 years service.
