Already three weeks in, 49 to go!

Happy that recently I've been having just a £1.00 bag of noodles from Waitrose for lunch everyday, I just add a bit of soy sauce :)

Much cheaper than the £4.50 helping from the salad bar.... Do that once every other week or so...

Time really does fly. I am now already a quarter of my way through my DRO, have had to give the number to a few callers as debt collectors have been daft enough to buy my debts off my original creditors who have obviously decided to let them go as a dead loss.

I'm actually a further £10-20 down on my pay now that I've been put into the company pension scheme, as of December 2013 pay day. That was Dec 20th, so a full six weeks until Jan 2014 payday (get paid last working day of month which this month is Friday 31st Jan :( )

But come Mar/April, my annual pay increase should kick in, probably another £500p/a before tax, so, this should cancel out the pension loss and put me back to roughly where I was.

    *phew*

What finally got me to pull everything together and get my DRO put through (after moving job and house and cutting down what bills I could) was finding out at the start of August this year that I was pregnant. Sadly I miscarried at six weeks.

But, it did two massive things for me, kicked me up the !!!! to get this DRO sorted and also, to tell the father of the baby, after he repeatedly hounded me to not continue with the pregnancy, to never come near me ever again.

This was difficult as we've been friends and on-off partners for ten years (ironically the baby's due date would have been the tenth anniversary of us first sleeping together !!!!!!) and over that time I've made it clear I would give him everything if he wanted it but he'd never actually put me first. When he blatantly rejected his own child just because it was mine it finally broke me, it's been one thing to put up with his less than ideal behavior myself but that was proof of just how far he would go.

He does not deserve me and I deserve a hell of a lot better.

I do not find it surprising that this is all taking place at the same time. I feel grief, relief, sadness, some positives as the debts are now being resolved etc but mostly right now, I just feel drained.

I try and see it as a period of healing.

And then I shall await my real prince charming....

Oh, did I not tell you? I met him three days later!! We've been together three months now :)

Just six weeks from the halfway point but a damned tight Feb

Pay increase approved but not yet implemented... So, right now, just a bit too close for comfort. Have bought enough for packed lunches through til end of month next week.

By the end of this month I'll be halfway though. Awesome and slightly shocking...

They've rejected the pay increase offer so for now, no change to my income... My take home pay is actually currently £10.00p/m less than it was as I've been put into the auto-enrollment pension due to the size of my company.

I'm managing ok, slight savings in that I go halves on meals with the boyfriend a couple of times a week and his parents often feed us too.

We've both already learnt how to manage on limited budgets and can't wait until the end of this year when things have the potential to be very different for us.

It's official... DRO is now over halfway through.

Having some personal health issues right now though which is leaving me too tired and down to be overly excited about it though.

After this week though, I won't be working a full week again until mid-May which should be good.

Oh, and pay is currently £30 less per month due to the pension  but the annual increase will start at the end of this month and will put me back to within £5 of the stated figure in my DRO.

Has bugged the crap out of me.
