Will this ESA be backdated?

Options
Early 2018 I missed an assessment so my payments were stopped.

I claimed again in april and they said because I missed that assessment I couldn’t be paid until had another one.

Ive been signed off on universal credit since but finally got that ESA assessment in November and I’m waiting to hear back from it. So if it’s successful will it be backdated from April?

Are you claiming UC now? If so then you'll only be paid the difference between ESA and UC.

I read it that the OP is now claiming UC. If the ESA decision goes in their favour then DWP should honour the ESA decision and place them in the relevant group for UC.

No they can't go back onto ESA.
