Well done on doing the Asda refund and good result on the insurance, everything seems to be going really well for you at the moment. Long may this continue! x
A win on the refund ( i also hate taking stuff back) i always think they moan about that customer who always returns stuff haha. Great news regarding the insurance and loving the fact you then made use of the money you would have spent

Hope you have a wonderful weekend

    Thank you both :D

What a busy weekend - we took the kids swimming on Friday which was actually good fun, and we'll be taking them weekly now as our cost is covered in our memberships.

Saturday I worked 12-5:30 after waking up early and actually spend most of my time napping on the sofa before and after doing the food shopping :rotfl: Oh, and on my break from work went to my car to get something, went to lean to my driver side door pocket from the passenger side door and misjudged how far I'd ducked down and smacked my head :rotfl: genuinely though I was going to be knocked out for a second as it all went dark but then didn't in the end lol. Sore head still, what a numpty :o

Sunday I only worked for a few hours which flew by, then cracked on with the housework and did most of the washing and ironing before going to the gym. Then OH came home with Chinese :rotfl: oh well, best laid plans and all that!

Cashed out £6.50 from Prolific over the weekend and paid off of DT2, hoping to get the balance under £100 by the time that the online wages come in, which only requires another £10 or so :)

    Morning all!

Got some good news today, I got a little bonus for my online work for hitting a quota of hours in the first month, which is lucky as my car needs to go into the garage next week. The brakes got done with the MOT and have now started making a loud squeak when I brake lol, and I've got a bit of a rattle I can feel and hear my side of the car and through the steering wheel when I get up to speed on the motorway, so want it all to get looked at. So, although the bonus may not be seen for long, it's good to know I won't have to worry too much about paying for it to be fixed.

I also got a small cheque through from an ongoing payday loan complaint saga, the company went into administration so only got a few pence in the pound from what I would have got, but that's another £18.30 to come off of DT2 when it clears, and bring it under £100!

Got physio later, she was sick yesterday so dreaded phoning to rebook as I thought it would be another few weeks, but they got me in today, so that's good :D

OH and I walked over to the swimming pool last night and had a quick swim but left as it was quite busy (half of the pool had an aqua exercise class going on) then wandered round the local area to explore. It's so peaceful and quiet, it's lovely! I will probably end up going for a swim tonight again as I have slight t-rex arms from working out on Sunday, so will wait until that's eased to hit the gym again :rotfl: my arms have never been my strong point :rotfl:

We also picked up a rotary airer for the garden last night on the way home from work, so hoping OH will plonk that in the ground at some point this week and then I don't need to worry about waiting for one load of washing to dry before doing another :D simple things lol.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!

Congrats on the bonus and the discipline of paying it straight off debt. Enjoy the swimming.

Cheque has cleared and £18.30 paid to DT2 - now under £100 and over 50% paid off, can't wait for it to be gone this time next week :D

I didn't end up going swimming, was quite knackered when I got in, and plan to gym tomorrow, we will be swimming with the kids on Friday, and I'll either gym or swim on Sunday. I'm at a friends for dinner tonight, and we are off to Newmarket on Saturday with some free tickets we got from a newspaper, so I though I'd give myself a break lol :rotfl:

Last debt payment DD has come out today so they are all done, my only bills left to come out are my cinema card and our broadband.

No response from the mechanic yet about booking my car in, so will chase that up later, I know he is busy most days but he is generally quite quick at fitting me in.

OH didn't come to bed last night, he got in late from work as he had to close then heard him make some food and he fell asleep on the sofa. Went downstairs around 3/4 to wake him to come to bed, and he kept saying he would but never did. He knows I don't like it when he sleeps on the sofa (happened all of twice, but still) as he spent years on the sofa when he was with his ex and the kids as she made him sleep there, so I don't like any kind of mirroring in our relationship from that horrible marriage. Anyway, was a bit off with him this morning and he pretended he didn't know why, it's an annoying habit of his, he does things (accidentally or intentionally) and then just pretends they never happened. A simple "sorry I didn't come up, kept falling asleep" etc would suffice, but hey ho. Maybe I'm mad!

I don't think he's remembered I'm going to my friends house, either. I used to live with her and her husband, and go round once a week to catch up and watch our tv shows we always watched, this has now moved day which he grumbled about as it's a night he's off, but we are doing a fair bit together this week, so nothing to grumble about!

Desperately need some new work shoes which ideally would be black trainers as they would pass at both jobs, and provide the support the physio says I need for my foot, it's just persuading myself it's okay to spend the money on something decent that will provide support and last a long while :o

That's enough ranting from me today, plenty to be cracking on with, and diaries to catch up on, whilst secretly hoping OH has the sense to put the new rotary airer up in the garden on his day off today!

I agree with DITR :) Its something you need and a investment now will prevent you spending more later and also will help you get the support you need too. Do it....:D :D

DITR - we're not quite made friends yet but it'll pass, think I just need to do a few more things for myself so I don't quite resent the rut of picking up after everyone all of the time, then I'll be less moany about everything else :rotfl:

I will get some trainers next week, you have both twisted my arm :rotfl: I have seen some Adidas ones in JD that look like a good fit, and apparently you can do 3 months payments with no interest?! Very odd, but something to consider.

Rotary airer was not put up yesterday so I will be tackling that when I get home, how hard can it be to hammer a spike into the ground?! We also had a £10 giftcard for argos to use, so have used it to buy a new ironing board cover (our current one is worn and means on some fabrics you end up ironing the metal pattern of the board onto clothes lol) and some pegs, will pick those up on the way home and pick up a hammer in Wilko (that's OH's excuse for not being able to do it [cue eyeroll]). Hopefully, other than Newmarket on Saturday, I shouldn't have to bloody spend anything else, keep hoping for a NSD then keep having to do things!

Going to gym it tonight, and may treat myself to a bunch of flowers to do something nice for myself, then when I get home I am going to put a toner on my hair to even out the colour (got indoors already) then probably do a face mask, hair mask, and a pedicure.

Ooh, and now that I have tracked down some sesame seeds, I am going to try this honey sesame chicken recipe I saw online the other day. That's something I don't really do much anymore now, either, cooking new things - I enjoy it, and should make more of an effort to get back into it.

4-5 days and I will have my online wages, looking to probably get a little more next month than this month as I am on track to do more hours. Handy, as OH's birthday is next month and he has expensive taste. He's getting a new iPad for his birthday (shhhhh) because the one he has is probably as old as one of his kids and just turns off, and I'll have my 10% discount from the part time job by then so get at least £30-£40 cheaper, and I'll have enough after paying some debts off and paying in some savings, to do it comfortably :) I'm mostly looking forward to the look on his face :rotfl:

This will be our first event (birthday/christmas/etc) where I won't have had to put anything on credit, which makes a really nice change!
