Husband is 40 - HELP

Hi guys
So Im not working anymore.
My menieres disease put a stop to it.

My husband is turning 40 in June and I want to treat him.
Last year he took me away for a beautiful weekend in a glamping pod and it was beautiful and I loved having time together.

I don't have a fortune saved but I have about £150 so far. I'm hoping to make it more by then.

Id like to really treat him.
He works 60 hours a week and does his best for me and his 3 kids.

He wanted to go to Edinburgh but I really don't think I can afford it.
I don't have a passport and he has a driving license.
Then with flights, hotel and food. I'm a bit stuck.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I thought of giving him a spa day in a nice hotel with a stay and breakfast if I can find something nice on groupon (so then he can have a nice massage and relax) and then maybe a driving experience of some sort.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

He likes tractors, farming, motorbikes, cars, his phone and Jack Daniels!

You don't need passports for Scotland if you are British citizens

Unless you're flying - I'm guessing she doesn't have photo id and that's what she's referring to.

Even flying, you do not need a passport

Photo id yes, but not a passport

Where do you live? Possible to take a mega bus or similar for cheap transport to Edinburgh.

And, for some people, myself included, a passport is the only form of photo id they have. I'm guessing that's what the OP is referring to, should she want to fly.

    Does he like driving?

Depending on where you like and what sort of car you have, try

    https://www.meadowhead.co.uk/parks/mortonhall/

    for ideas.

You might be able to do a weekend away to Edinburgh for your £160 - including the cost of getting there and back and a night out could be possible as well.

As others have said you don't need passport for travelling in the UK when you are already here but you might need some sort of ID if flying between UK airports

Have you thought about a Farm experience day?

How about a farm or vintage tractor show round about the time of his birthday? Perhaps you could have a day at the show, a nice dinner that evening and a night away in a hotel before heading home next day.

Saw this one advertised in a tractor magazine of hubbys -

Also quite a comprehensive list here
