Quick post before bed - went for the run which was good but very sweaty! Got the grass cut and did a little cleaning although not much as I sat out in the garden enjoying the sun. Did all surveys I could though so not an entirely wasted few hours :rotfl:

Had sausages, chips and beans which was yummy and plenty of beans leftover to take into work tomorrow to have on toast for lunch :D

The last 3 days have been NSDs :D. Not long finished my shift with 2nd job, just need to hand in my timesheet tomorrow so that I get paid on Friday.

Still not started the budget for next month so will do that tomorrow after work.

I'm aiming for under £8750 and £200 saved in the car fund by next payday.

Payday tomorrow - debt is currently £8776.23 and car fund is £132 so didn't make my targets :(, however, feeling very motivated about August. I'm going to aim for being under £8500 and having £250 saved in the car fund.

Timesheet has been handed in so I'll get paid on Friday. I've picked up another wee shift with 2nd job next week and will get around £25 for it :)

Spent £7.16 in the supermarket today and transferred the £2.74 to the debt.

OH is making roast beef for tea and I've just been told it's about ready so better go get fed :D. I'll post the budget after tea.

Tea was yummy, plenty of leftovers for another day and OH did the dishes too :A

    Budget for August - £1820.71
    - £1100 usual bills
    - £150 car
    - £200 food/cleaning/toiletries
    - £100 petrol
    - £50 social
    - £50 car fund
    - £50 electricity bill
    - £30 emergency fund
    - £20 flat fund
    - £10 present
    - £60.71 debt

We're heading down to Edinburgh to stay with my sister for a weekend in August so I've budgeted extra for petrol and the £50 social should cover spends while we're away. I've got no other social plans for August so far and kinda hoping it stays that way.

The £60.71 debt repayment will be split £40.71 to the flat debt and £20 to the car debt.

£10 present is to contribute to a present for a colleague who's due to go off on maternity leave soon.

After discussion with OH, I've decided to start a flat fund as there's so many little things around the flat that need done and we never have the money to do, e.g. paint the bathroom and kitchen, buy new bedding, get a splashback for behind the cooker, buy light shades, etc. First up is to get some new pillows for OH as he keeps complaining about waking up with a sore neck.

I really need some new clothes and shoes (had budgeted for this last month but it got absorbed by my social overspend :() and will put money aside from 2nd job for this. I've decided to allocate money from 2nd job in August as follows 20% car fund, 20% clothes fund and 10% debt repayments.

Right I'm away to update my signature now as I start work at 7am tomorrow and won't have time in the morning.

ooh , wish I had that model!
I went for the one that needs a map to find the kitchen, but after 43 years I really can't face replacing him :-)

You are doing so well, balancing life with sorting out the debt :-)

I am still sitting on the sidelines and cheering as I watch the debt reducing bit by bit.

So amazed at what you achieve, well done you!

Payday on Monday and I made my payments to the debt.

Yesterday was very spendy - paid rent, council tax and home insurance, went food shopping (£35.56), put petrol in the car (£23.98) and bought new bedding and pillows (£20). OH said he'd slept really well last night so new pillows have obviously helped.

Today has been a NSD :) and I went to the gym after work.

2nd job have cancelled my shift for tomorrow  I know it was only £25 but still annoying, don't they know I've got new clothes to save up for :rotfl: Oh well at least I get a lie in and I've organised to go for a run with a friend before usual work.

Me and OH have been discussing about going away for a weekend in September. Thinking maybe Inverness, just need to save up a bit. We've been putting all our coppers and 5p's in a jar for a while and I reckon there's £30 or so in there so that would pay for a meal out :D

A couple of direct debits went out this morning - I've rounded down my bank account and paid £2.63 to the car debt.

So the lie in didn't really happen :( got up about 15 minutes later than I usually do if I'm on an early shift.

£3 bank account went in this morning so I've paid it to the debt. Hoping for a NSD today.
