    Morning :)

    Day 23/30, Prolific £3.14 cleared £2.46 pending, Spends £23

Had a couple of good surveys last night so once they've cleared I'll be able to cash out £5. I've also finally reached the 1500 points needed for my first cash out on RH. About time too. :o I got 16 slot machine goes yesterday and won a measly 2 coins - cheapskates :rotfl:

I've got an appointment with the nurse this morning and then this afternoon an appointment with DS at the opticians. He doesn't wear glasses but I think he might need them. Him and hubby were testing their eyes by reading number plates the other day and DS couldn't see the neighbour's across the road.

I've a few jobs to do today but I'm going to make time to do some cross stitch and hopefully get the border of the jigsaw done. It's all about balance ;)

Have a great day :) xx

I hope your appointments go well today TF2.

Do you miss DD when she is back at uni? I miss DS3 although there is less housework and the food lasts longer when he's away!

Glad the surveys are picking up. I've been too busy de-cluttering to even check them recently, so I must start doing that.

Thanks HHD :) A few years ago DS wanted glasses but didn't need them. Now he doesn't seem quite so keen :o

I do miss DD when she's gone back. We don't do anything girly but just chatting to her over a brew and watching a film together is really nice. She also has a cracking sense of humour and always has a funny story to tell so she's very entertaining. BUT she is a messy visitor and that part I'm definitely glad to see the back of :rotfl: And I can relate to the food - it's like having a goat in the house when she's home!

Fingers crossed the tide is turning for surveys. I should think you haven't had time to look at any with the amount of de-cluttering you've been doing. You're definitely a woman on a mission :T xx

I have been very busy :rotfl:.

I hope that if DS does need glasses then he can find a style he likes, they do some really nice ones now. Perhaps he could have contact lenses too at some point if he wants them? DS3 wears glasses but has lenses for college and when he's socialising as it makes him feel more confident. The lenses cost us £18 a month, but it's the only monthly thing we pay out for DS3 now, as he pays for his own phone bill.

HHD - DD went for a contacts fitting a few weeks ago but it wasn't for her. Her eyesight is pretty bad and she didn't want the hassle of wearing glasses on a night out. We were talking about this when she was home and she said she doesn't wear them when she goes out now because she can't see at the end of the night anyway after a few drinks so there's no point :rotfl: xx

K - it's a really sweet little cross stitch that I picked up from The Works for only £2 and I'm loving every minute of it. I think I've crocheted and quilted myself to the hilt for the time being so it's nice to have something different to do. xx

Oh don't say that Beanie :rotfl: He had an eye test a few years ago and was really disappointed he didn't need glasses, but I don't think he feels that way any more. :o There's not much hope for him really though. The rest of us all wear them for certain things. xx

Yes Beanie, same here with DS. :D

So, we went for the eye test and after confidently reading the top line as 'numbers' when they're actually letters it was pretty obvious within 30 seconds of being in the room DS needed glasses :rotfl::rotfl: After seeing the difference lenses made he was more than happy to choose a pair. :T Another job done. xx
