    I don't get it either.
    But each to his own.
    People mourn the demise of lots of inanimate things.
    Cars, lorries, tractors, buildings, the list is endless.
    Personally I find it difficult to get excited about any locomotive from after the steam era.
    Similar with vehicles, anything made after about 1970 isn't all that interesting to me.
