This policy is creating annoyed and anxious passengers in the cabin.

Ryanair is getting extremely large with more aircraft in service and on order than ever before, by getting bigger the likelihood of an evacuation on the ground affecting an aircraft increases and this policy would slow down an evacuation with additional consequences.

Ryanair can't afford for this to happen.

Good on Ryanair. Split them up and it lessens the chances of rowdy, drunken mob behaviour on the flight

It doesn't. It creates irritated, annoyed and anxious passengers and additional work for cabin crew.

We need some maths analysis to accompany the article - just what are the odds that a "random" allocation gives all middle seats and all separate rows?

If one gets annoyed and anxious over something so trivial then they would be best to stay home.

Do grown adults act like this?

I get they may be irritated and a little annoyed ( but they could have paid to sit together) but why would they be anxious and why is it extra work for the crew

They want to naturally sit with their mate and get anxious about not sitting together, is there a chance of swopping etc cabin crew get involved with complex swooping attempts before take off.

    Anxious over what?

    Ryanair only do short/mid-haul.

If you can't cope sitting next to strangers for a few hours, you really shouldn't be flying!

Don't like it, pay to pick your seat!

If there is 15 surely it's only common sense to cough up and pay to choose the seats? Everyone knows how Ryanair works. And their planes aren't that big. Someone was always going to be left out.

I'd applaud Ryanair for splitting them up. It would be enough to stopping getting on a flight if i thought I was going to be sat anywhere near 15 rowdy 'hens'.
