what rights do we have

Hi all,

Our washing machine has broken down within the first 12 months and the engineer has been out and said it needs new parts which have been ordered but i was wondering what rights we have at this point?

i know martin lewis says if something hasnt lasted a reasonable amount of time then we are entitled to a replacement or refund.

Is this right or are we committed as we have agreed to a repair with the parts ordered.

Or repair.

Essentially, you are entitled to have the problem resolved. Which is sounds like the company are doing by agreeing to fix it.

They must do it in a 'reasonable time' though. How long did they say it would take for the parts to come and the machine to be fixed?

They were meant to get the parts last week but had a problem however they say it will now be today or tomorrow when they get them and will then contact us to arrange for the parts to be fixed.

If that gets organized then do we get another 1year guarantee?

No. The original warranty remains in place.

Irrespective of warranty, you still have rights per the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
