in Credit cards
There's been a bit of a carry on with my credit card - payments made that ended up in other peoples accounts, payments that took a month to arrive, credits when there shouldn't be, so on & so forth.
I thought all was settled so i called last week some time to close the account & draw a line under it all. Turned out my card was over £500 in credit.
So we arranged to have the money paid to my bank account which arrived in my bank account what appears to be the same day and i then closed the account.
Today i get a letter acknowledging the closure dated 12th Dec (same date that the money appeared back in my bank account). I also get a statement which says it's over £500 in debit (again)!
So i just called now to get a balance over the phone & sure enough it's over £500 in debit once again.
I can't keep up with all of this. I was expecting it to say £0. Could it still be getting processed or does it sound like another balls up?

Give it another day or 2 then phone again and ask - it's likely just taking a bit of time to update0

I called them in the end and even they couldn't make sense of what was going on with the payments going back & forth.
They're forwarding it on to some department to investigate0
