add both sets of employment wages together and put it in the box all together (try and work out the whole month if you can) then see what it would take off if just one employment as the second just gets added to the first as its assumed you've used all allowances from the first

The figures you gave are about correct if a tax code of BR was used.
What are the full details from this payslip, ie taxable gross, tax paid, tax code and basis, taxable gross to date and tax paid to date?

    job P (full time)
    tax code: 1191L
    weekly total pay: £496.90
    weekly net payment: £357.88
    total deductions: £139.02

    total payment to date: £4,585.90
    taxable pay to date: £4,483.12
    tax to date: £438.00

    job A (zero hours):

    Tax code: 1339L
hourly rate: £7.83 for 11 hours worked last week

    gross pay: £ 96.58
    gross to date: £ 1213.90

    net pay: £96.58
    holiday payment: £10.45

    tax free pay: £2576.90

just noticed that gross and net pay are the same on second job ! could that be why? as I said before I already told HMRC is the second employment (and job A payroll told me to call HMRC that HMRC needs to correct it)

I wouldn't know how to do that

Listentotaxman only has one box for the tax code and I have 2 different one. and for the second I only have random hours

Look at what you earn in total between your two jobs and how much tax (and back tax) you pay and then it won't seem like so much.

fact is the second job is a temporary solution, if I quit that and I keep my Monday to Friday I will still be taxed like crazy ! :(

can't I ask HMRC to put me on BR for the second job and a higher tax code on the main one to maximise pay? I don't mind getting paid little on the second job

You need to phone and speak to them, 2 weeks to action a letter is expecting too much, just before 8am Sat / 9amSun mornings is the best time https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-revenue-customs/contact/income-tax-enquiries-for-individuals-pensioners-and-employees. Have you not received any paperwork as to why you have a tax code of 1339 especially as you owe them money ? 1191 would be a usual tax code for basic allowance plus £60 uniform laundry or similar. You may well already be £240 in a hole to the taxman on job A. With an on line personal account you can see exactly what is happening.

Right I'm guessing you've had 3 pay days since the tax year (it depends when you get paid) so you're averaging £1933.26 per month. It goes year, month, week

Just do it on basic tax code. Unless you have a company car etc you'll be on basic tax. They once changed mine as they thought I did which is no chance

So if you continue to work like way you have these last 3 months it will average out you'll earn per month £1596.51 between both jobs and have £336.75 stoppages between the 2 jobs.

This appears to be for week number 10 does that agree with your payslip, if no week number what was the date of payment?
Do you have any other deductions apart from tax and national insurance?
