PC WiFi speed

I am currently using wifi to connect my PC to the internet, I have 200mbps service which I can get near the router in the lounge. The PC is in a spare room and used to be hard wired but I am unable to use the connection so rely on the wifi and I get about 45mbps.
I currently have "802.11n USB wireless LAN card", is there a way I can upgrade so I can increase the speed and take advantage of the service I am paying for on the PC?

powerline adapters would be the simplest way to get your internal network up to that sort of rate.
According to wikipedia, 802.11n wifi can get up to those sorts of rates using multiple antena, as long as there's no interference (such as from other radio devices, or neighbours using wifi).0 -

Any recommendation to what I should order from Amazon (or the like)?0 -
Why do you need extreme speed on a PC ?0

Do consider whether spending money is worthwhile to get a speed boost over your current 45Mbps.0

Suggest you run an ethernet cable - they you'll get the full speed available.0

I get about 45mbps.
This is excellent over WiFi! If you ignore the numbers, are you actually doing anything that justifies spending money to upgrade?0 -
I would live with it till you find a deal on some power line adaptors.

you never know you might even get one of these if you have a B&M near you.

I got the last one in our B&M for £5 a couple of weeks back0 -

Before buying more kit, have you tried the usual steps to increase the wifi speed with your existing hardware? Things like:
- Changing the position of the router (go higher, dodge possible obstructions)?
- Using a free wifi scanner app to see if you've got a channel clash with your neighbours ?
The following link might help (sorry not enough posts for an active link):

Other than that I agree that a powerline adapter set might be worth a try but they can be problematic too - buy from somewhere that has a good returns policy!0
