  • Thank you for all the lovely messages.

I haven't been around on MSE for ages and am so sorry I wasn't able to offer my condolences sooner along with everyone elses.

Sending my love to you and your family. It's always devastating to lose someone close but when it's a parent and who is taken so suddenly too it's hard to bear. Your lovely close family will help each other through this.

I'm sure you know we're all here for you should you feel the need to talk about things:kisses3:

Thank you all for being so kind.

Since my mum died on the 17th July I've spent every waking moment at her house, comforting my stepdad and helping him with practical matters. My sister flew down from Scotland as soon as she heard and is helping too. My stepsister was there for the first three days and will be there this weekend. The funeral is on Friday.

We thought we would go for a walk on Dartmoor this afternoon for a change of scene, as we've been cooped up in the house for nearly two weeks apart from buying food and visits to the undertaker.

I knew my mum wouldn't live for ever but it's devastating when it actually happens. It's hard to imagine life without her, but I know she would want me to be happy so I have to try.
