That is excellent value. We have bought the Iceland 1kg lasagne for £5 recently as it includes a very nice ceramic dish. But here there are more than £5 of 'extras'.

The Kelly's ice cream alone is £3.97 at Morrisons, the chips £1.84!

I think the peas and garlic bread are each £1 if you want to do the maths

First Anniversary First Post I've been Money Tipped!
Has anyone had the lasagne before ? any comments on taste ?
  • The problem with these deals is availability! The stock is prioritised to Co-Operative Group stores. If you're unfortunate to have a store that is run by one of the many independent societies they run out of stock and FAST! However, they should be able to offer alternative products if you ask (which are sometimes better).

I think we had one when it was offer before, not bad, good size. Worth it for easy tea

It's been a while but if I remember it wasn't bad as far as frozen lasagne goes, probably feed 3 comfortably rather than a family of 4.

I assume the lasagna is one frozen 1kg block? That would make it almost useless for me (unless I get a hammer out and carve it into smaller singleton friendly portions....)

. I regularly make a big lasagne from scratch
baked in the oven with the plan to reheat a portion or 2 for another night for my son which i would reheat in the microwave. Or alternatively cook in oven and cover with foil so it doesnt dry out as much. As long as it is cooked thro first time or reheated a second time it should be fine.

No reason why you can't cook it then portion it afterwards. That's what I'll do as I also live alone. Or maybe invite someone for lunch to share it with.
