My Cheap Energy Club account is broken!

Hi,
Edge-case here.
I initiated a switch over two months ago, and just contacted the new energy company today to query why I hadn't heard from them. They informed me that I had signed up with a direct debit, but it was before the National Electricity Board Database had updated that I no longer had a prepaid meter. So essentially, the switch never happened, but MSE CEC still tells me that it's pending.
I would like to use CEC to switch again, but my account is stuck in limbo.
Any suggestions?

Hi Andrea,
No reply. I'm a little ticked off if I'm honest as I have had faith in what the MSE CEC has told me, which is that a switch was underway. I have been on an expensive tariff for much longer than I should have been.
And I still can't use it to switch. I might have to use another service, though it's a shame as I've used CEC for years. Any recommendations?0 -
For what it's worth, when I sent an email it took a week to receive an acknowledgement. How long it takes until anything happens regarding the information remains to be seen.0

I agree there is something wrong with the Cheap Energy Club site. It still says my switch is in progress BUT I have been on the new tariff for a while now. the problem is when they negotiate a new tariff and tell me I can save £300 per year when in fact the rates of the new tariff will cost me money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you reading this MSE. PleaSE FIX YOUR cHEAP energy cLUB SITE.

Hi ivanissuewiththis
If you switch through Energy Club, your tariff will automatically update for you once your supplier confirms the switch. It normally takes about 12 weeks for it to update us.
If you have any more questions our Cheap Energy Club FAQs should help: https://clubs.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub/faqCould you do with a Money Makeover?
