Thanks for taking part. It looks like I'm the only one still using alcohol mouthwash then. It can't be good for you but nothing else gives the same satisfying 'sting.'
Also, it's surprising how many use electric toothbrushes now.0 -

No me too, can't stand the NA stuff. Mostly I think because I don't like the taste of mint much and the A stuff seems to dull it. Also works better if you ask me and it probably less of a chemical mishmash for those that care about that (I do not).
A lot of places though have got rid of the A stuff at least in the cheaper ranges. Paying £1 now rather than 40p. More likely the reason.0 -
^ Also the alcohol one I use doesn't froth up like a volcanic eruption when you're gargling0

Everyone would be better off, both financially and oral health wise if they ditched all mouthwash.
UNLESS specifically recommended by a Dental professional for a specific condition for a specific time. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
I am amused the list doesn't include toothpaste. I assume it is taken for granted. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Dentek inter dental brushes from Boots are very good value at less than 10p each currently. https://www.boots.com/dentek-slim-brush-32-pack-10176854 for example.
I also occasionally use Periogen, which is imported from the US and available through Amazon.

A locum dentist tried to flog me some Corsodyl mouthwash, and some tepe brushes. I declined.Signature Removed by Forum Team ..thanks to somebody reporting a witty and decades-old Kenny Everett quote as 'offensive'!!0

If he was a Locum, he would have absolutely nothing to gain from the practice sales of sundry items!!! He'd be paid exactly the same no matter what he did.
So he might just of been recommending them because he felt they might have been of some use to you.
Still - better to assume everyone is out to rip you off, eh!How to find a dentist.

Well why didn't my usual dentist try and sell me them, then? (I did get some freebie toothpaste from her though :money: )
I only saw the locum once, he was covering for my dentist's maternity leave.Signature Removed by Forum Team ..thanks to somebody reporting a witty and decades-old Kenny Everett quote as 'offensive'!!0 -
