Nice to see Bulb's WHD is open from 16th Oct'
Excellent that their criteria for broader group has been expanded.

Hopefully I get my application in as I now qualify for broader group.

Its main reason I left them last year, could get WHD with coop but not bulb. I saved money jumping ship to Utility point

I'n in 1st year with Bulb.
Until these changes were made then I wasn't eligible whereas I was with SP+SSE.

Remember the Criteria is set by Ofgem not Bulb though I only learned that from Bulb C/S by e-mail response during 2019.

Getting the WHD may not be the best option for you

Just be certain that you are on the best deal, getting £140 WHD on an expensive deal could end up costing you more than if you were on a better tariff with someone else who doesn't give it.

    Thanks

I'm honestly delighted with stable Electric only bills from Bulb.
Mindful that I only joined from sse since Feb 2019.
Early comparison is sse averaging what was 85 per month
    Bulb averaging <60 per month.
I'de expect Bulb to rise over winter once I use 2kw fan fire in living room when required.
Also have one bedroom storage type heater which I use maybe 30-60 mins per night during winter.
I'm looking forward to what Bulb charge during winter months.
I hope I get WHD the payment is almost essential and helpful.

Is £60 your DD amount or is it based on actual consumption and bills.
It's really easy to think that you are on a good deal because your DD is lower, however you could actually be ramping up a heap of arrears if your £60 a month isn't covering your consumption.

You really do need to do your sums and check your bills and meter readings to ensure that you don't get a nasty shock around about Xmas or next April

    66.12 is DD.
Latest bulb bill based on last months usage 57 pounds.
I have never been charged >60 pounds.
Even withdrew a few quid to bank last month,.

You really should be £100 in credit at this time of year otherwise you'll be around that much or more in arrears by March/April, especially if your DD is only just covering your summer consumption.

You need to keep a careful eye on your bills/payments and hope that you do actually get WHD

Correction forgot latest bill was debited.
Thankfully last weeks DD payment has been taken.
87 pounds approx in credit, not amazing amount though should be probably raising DD into 70's range.
Think I'll raise to 71 pounds and continue to check usage when I use that fire only if and when required.
Meanwhile bedroom heater for 30 mins at night helps take away chill.
