Well I have now got a map but it does not appear to function - when I click on a price symbol, the symbol simply disappears and another one pops up elsewhere.
Anyone able to explain ?

You need to click the blue symbol once the page appears.0 -

Are you using a pc or a tablet?
I just tried your link on my Android tablet and got the same problem.
In my instance I didn't have the Airbnb app downloaded but as soon as I installed it and logged in then your link worked fine.0 -

Eventually got things working. The problem seems to be a shortage of memory on my computer (1GB).
Functions as long as I dont do anything else at the same time.0 -

I know this isn't the Techie forum but you could have a look at the Crucial website to see what you could upgrade your notebook too. 1GB is very low and an increase would do the world of good.
It's safe to download their system checker.
