    Brilliant thread!

Not much going on here from me :

1.Completed my free JPjoy fishing game - Nothing all week complete waste of time
2.Surveyed myself out on on Toluna. Now on 47k
3.Going to make chicken in cider and garlic cream sauce for tea with left over cider last night - it was a free bottle too given to OH. Go me!
4.Going to turn heating off and put some socks on after typing this!
5.Look through the budget again to see if I can find another £24.14 to overpay so that I can get under £86k
6.Read this thread for inspiration :)
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

I've done a couple of dooyoo reviews and will be going to get cheap milk from Aldi for brekkies. Whilst I am there I will try not to buy anything which is not on my list!

I will also tidy the lounge so we are less tempted to go out with visitors and spend money, but socialise at home! :D

I checked my mortgage balance online and realised I haven't made an overpayment this month, so will be rectifying this later when I move some money around.

I realised yesterday that the heating is coming on at 5pm. Way too early, so I've changed it to 6pm :)

It seems to be coming on very early in the morning, too, so I will go and check the time right now and change it if I need to.

I read this thread again today and it made me go online and send a £20 OP to my mortgage account! So thank you! :T (every little helps and all that...!)

(I also sent off a £200 cheque towards the council tax for next year - the sooner that is paid, the better I feel - I reckon £1450-ish to go:eek: even though I haven't had my bill through yet!).

    Hello :j
This thread is a great idea - I post quite often on the DFW small things thread, but as someone mentioned above, do sometimes feel a bit guilty as we are not (now) in quite the same place. I certainly have been in debt, when the kids were younger, but paid it all off quite a few years ago. However, mortgage is debt, and this year I have to a) make some inroads into paying it off, b) help DD2 pay for her wedding this year and c) do up our house, which has been rented out but the tenants have now been given notice :j:j:j

    Anyway today I have:

    No spend day

Turned out some cupboards and got rid of some junk

Inventory of food cupboards and freezers

Listed an item on ebay, which already has 3 watchers (only a small item though, which I found in the junk)

Moved a few pounds from a previous ebay sale from paypal to bank account

    Home made meals from stores

Moved some money from a current account to savings

Heating not on at the moment as we have lit the fire (free wood from OH's job, some waste branches etc from where some were cut down / trimmed - it needed clearing up and burning, according to OH's boss - so it might just as well burn in our fireplace.:D)

Washing outside to dry but now in to air on radiators (not quite dry enought to put away yet).

That's me finished for today I think!
  • cha, thank you so much for starting up this thread, it has really spurred me on to get my backside in gear.:D:p

    Today I have:
    • Packaged up 3 ink cartridges for Tesco recylcing £3 in vouchers worth £9 in deals:j
    • Listed two items on ebay:j
    • Bought a new printer cartridge for 'newish' printer (bought middle of last year) at a cost of £2.64 used the £5 voucher for items from Price Minister and Quidco
    • Offered old printer on freecylce - not moneymaking but declutter - which is almost as important.

MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!

Today I went to Aldi and only bought things I needed from my list (apart from a bunch of flowers DH and I agreed I should give my beautician as a thank you).
