Hi I have some recordings that I want to put on a cd.
I have tried so many times and the laptop seems to go through the process but the cd is empty.
There is no copy right to the music as it's recording of the kids playing instruments.
I have tried, nero, iTunes, windows media player and magix audio cleaning lab.
please help

You need to burn it as an Audio CD or Redbook CD. You may just be copying mp3 files to it, and that won't play in a regular CD player.
Put one of these CDs in your drive, and open it with windows file explorer or similar. If it's a regular audio CD, you'll get a file list with files of 1Kb, file type 'CD audio track'. If you've copied mp3s to it, these will have a file type of 'mp3 audio file' .0 -
It's not even showing on the laptop....
The cd is completely blank with no capacity used up
might I need to download a cd burner?

Gosh I can't see where to download the program. The web page is so cluttered with adverts , I have clicked on 4 or more and have been taken to completely different programs.0 -
Only 2 clicks away from the main page ....

Sounds like you need an ad blocker too0 -
... or click on Mirror 7 download link on the ImgBurn site I linked to.0

you don't need anymore software, windows media player should have been able to burn music to cd. Is the cd ok? is the file format compatible?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

You do have a CD/DVD burner don't you, not just a reader?0

You still use CDs? - How quaint..!0
