Because a lot of people are impatient and believe they have a right to demand answers as to why the bonus hasn't been paid even though the deadline hasn't been reached yet?

The deadline has been reached.. It states the 13/04 but doesn't say when on the 13/04 so that's NatWest fault for writing ambiguous terms and conditions.

If it was to be paid by the end of business on 13/04 then it should say that.

Sorry, but if you don't understand English, that is not NatWest's fault.

    Thats a bit cheeky....

The terms and conditions don't mention anything about when on 13/04, so a reasonable person can ask the bank when exactly on 13/04 they plan to make the payment.

That's what I did, no big deal!
  • Even so. The impatience of people is astounding. I'd be waiting until the middle of next week before I start making calls.

Calling on the actual date is bonkers.

Indeed. One person earlier this week reported they and their partner had made a total of 3 calls in one day chasing payment...3 days before it was due!

Maybe these people are first time switchers? When you've done a few switches you soon realise that it's financially better to wait and make contact after the deadline, which invariably results in a goodwill gesture to cover time and calls...maybe adding 25-50% to the return.

Good shout! Will keep that in mind.

    Indeed.

Previously, on the NatWest Switching thread.

Lots of people have received their bonus.

Lots of people haven't received their bonus.

The deadline for paying the bonus is still twelve hours away.

    What will happen next?

I'm so excited, I just wet myself.

I will certainly be claiming the 0.7p per day I have lost out on because I did not receive the bonus 2 days before the deadline like other people.

I have been discriminated against because I wasnt able to invest the £125 in a 2% savings account.

    :rotfl:

P.s. this is not a serious post.

I think you should get on the phone to NatWest and complain... and ask them to compensate you for your dry cleaning bill. ;)
