Natwest/rbs ppi success

I have recently received confirmation from Natwest that i am due over 2,500.00 in PPI. I notice in the letter it says payment will be made within 28 days of receipt of the acceptance letter from myself. RBS received this on the 11th so 2 weeks ago.
i was just wondering if anyone else has received their funds earlier (or how long has it actually took to credit account) and exactly how it works with RBS, whether they inform you by letter/text/email as to when they process it etc
Do they credit the funds direct to the account?
I have rang them but the person i spoke to wasn't the most helpful
Thanks in advance

it generally takes up to 28 days unfortunately.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
So they actually pay you on the 28th day?0

In other words, no one here can predict when you'll receive your money.
"Helpful" or not, only the bank can tell you. :beer:0 -
They got my acceptance letter on 28th Dec I’m still awaiting, I’m just sitting tight I’ll give it a few more weeks before chasing the letter said they endevour to have it sent within 28 days but there’s no guarantees depending on workloads0

Ironically I did the same with some Loan PPI refunds with them n 2011 with no issues however that time it was paid into my account with them. I’ve since left and this will be by cheque this time0

My point was that Recorded Mail sometimes does not reach the intended recipient when it is "signed for" by someone in the Mail Room etc. Far more reliable just to stick an ordinary stamp on the envelope and then ask a few days later if it has been logged as received.
Plus I’d have saved a few pounds at the same time had I just sent it normally. It’s an interesting scenario though although you got a good outcome in the end reading your post0 -
Rang then so the cheque was posted yesterday so bang on 27 days so they kept it just in the 28 days on the letter0
