The only Christmas market I've been to is the german market in Edinburgh, it runs all the way through december and it's fantastic, loads of wee bits and pieces, gluwein stalls, gifts of every variety and it's just gorgeous, Edinburgh is a beautiful city but especially so at that time of year!xxx0

Yep, a *beautiful* German market with gingerbread, a wine/beer/german hot food section, fairy lights everywhere, amazing presents and a wonderful atmosphere! Love it, getting excited writing this lol! :jReturning MoneySaver, now furiously saving for a house deposit...0 -

I couldn't agree more! Its absolutely beautiful and it really made me feel Christmassy! I love it!
There's a Victorian Christmas market in Worcester every year and people seem to travel miles for it, but to be honest I think its pretty pants and not worth bothering with!!0 -

Hi
Just wanted to say don't build your hopes up too much for the Bath Christmas Market, I'm from Bath and its been a disappointment every year.
Its extremely expensive and the stalls are tiny wooden huts, so you can hardly get to them as its very packed, very tight and very cramped. Plus a lot of shops have closed down at the mo for our "new shopping centre" if it ever happens - took them 7 years to open the spa!!
One good point you will get mulled wine, but its 3.50 a glass!!!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -

Hope you find one ana have a great time.
Lincoln Christmas Market is fantastic but be warned...
It gets very crowded at certain times. very busy in the evening but that's when the best 'atmosphere' is. It is totally impossible to get around with a pushchair (In my opinion) in the evening and little children may get a bit frightened at all the crowds of tall people squashing to look at the stalls. Also, because of the cobbled streets at the top end of Lincoln, may be a little uncomfortable for wheelchair users if they have to use the road instead of the pavement (my mum went once but couldn't stand the pain the cobbles gave her bottom!)
Maybe best to visit during the day when it's less busy and people, of any age, who are at eye level to the stalls may get a chance to enjoy them

This sounds like the Southampton one as well. There wasn't very much variety last year either. I hope it is better this year. I wouldn't want anyone to make a special trip from miles away just to see it and then be disappointed.0
