How long should it take to get your codes sent to you have completing the form? I completed it last night and haven't received anything yet?

Filled in the form at just past midnight yesterday and found reply in junk mail timed at 16:37 yesterday.. have you checked?

Bro did paperwork yesterday afternoon, hadn't seen owt lunchtime today.

    Q. Do I need to set up any direct debits or pay in a certain amount of money to qualify for the £50 amazon.co.uk gift card?

    A. No, provided you complete a CASS switch, ensure your non-Santander account is closed, and meet the other terms of the offer you’ll receive the incentive.
Thankfully, no requirement for DD's makes 'switching' more straightforward for serial switchers.

Just received my codes having signed up yesterday evening

The blurb says "Share each one of these unique codes with a different friend or family member....."

Shame I was hoping to refer the wife five times

Don't know if I can be bothered with this

It doesn't look like they have an online switching service for existing account holders you have to go into branch, maybe even make an appointment

Someone on the previous page switched via telephone.

Does anyone know the tax implications of receiving all these £50 referrals?

    It's not a £50 referral - it's a £50 Amazon Voucher referral.

I believe HMRC deem them not to be 'ongoing' payments, so are not taxable.

If you apply for a new Santander current account online, the switch application is part of it (if you want it to be).

Switching to an existing account can be done on the phone - dedicated switching team 0800-085-2202.

Be prepared to answer random, detailed, questions about your existing Santander account, as part of the ID check. E.g. Exact overdraft limit, the exact amount of one of your last transactions, when did you open the account etc. The whole process should take no more than 10 minutes max though. Obviously, also have the sort code, account number and debit card of the account you want to switch to hand.

Note if you are planning on applying & switching on line, you need your sacrificial account debit card, or it won't let you complete the switch element.. and you'll need to phone Sant's switch team anyway.

I had an old donor ac to switch but had shredded the card so have to phone... or order a new card.
