Tesco Clubcard Magazine Subscriptions

Tesco don't do cinema tickets anymore so I was looking for something else to spend points on. I had a look at magazine subscriptions but it's a bit of a con really. The Tesco links take you to various subscription sites that have special 'Tesco Rates'. Eg Top Gear magazine costs £19.99 normally, but if bought via Tesco it's £59.50, so you aren't really saving anything.
Here's an example of one of the subscription sites:

Looking at the reviews on the clubcard site, most people seem unaware that they'd be better off just buying the magazine sub directly and using clubcard points on something else.
