Good luck with job application process AC. I don't think you are legally required to declare your health condition and mostly they aren't allowed to ask. My brother who has MS never discloses it as it is only an issue if he is in a relapse which he has not had for more than 2 years now. It is managed with medication.

    Hi enthusiastic:)
It's a mixed bag tbh regarding disclosing medical conditions.
Hope your brother is managing the best he can. You talk to people,
and you get different opinions. Still, I've disclosed it so whatever happens happens. My outlook has slightly hardened/changed over the last few years. In theory ,I should hope to live around another 20 years but cannot worry as much as I used to. I'll leave that for now.

I've just received an email from Royal Mail, and I've got an appointment booked for a registration event on Tues 2nd Oct.
Apparently, it's only for 15 mins. I have to bring a huge amount of paperwork / photos etc.
Hopefully,I will be allowed to have a proper interview after that .
I'll keep calm and carry on regardless.

    Howdy ! Still alive :)
Well, this morning I went to the registration event for the Royal Mail casual Christmas job.
I arrived very early . I was the first to attend the 10.00am interview ,and there ended up being about a dozen of us . We were all given a raffle ticket and proceeded to go to the various desks when our number was called .
I had my life story with me . Talk about documentation ..

So, the situation is I chose the 5.30 pm- 9.30 pm shift mon-sat.
    £8.75 p.h Wow!
It's a start I guess. The induction is on my first day on 19 November
I imagine ( if I'm able for the role ) , that it would probably last a few weeks . Hopefully , I will have no problems integrating back into the working environment . It'll be exactly 2 years since I stopped .
    Fingers crossed.

I'm still coming to terms with the joint pain etc . I still need to lose much more weight and am annoyed that I haven't been able to do the more intensive stuff ,since the end of August . Having said that , after yesterday's session with mr. Trainer I feel a bit better than of late .
He still has lots of faith in me.

I received a letter from the specialist at st.thomas's ..2 months after I asked a question regarding my prednisolone reduction .
It seems he got the wrong end of the stick (again). He was under the impression that I wanted to reduce the dosage daily . I said monthly if that . Still , he gave me the green light to continue reducing the dosage and stopping it altogether if I can . I doubt if I can reduce further this year, but who knows ?
I'll keep plodding along and see what happens .

    Hope you're all well :)

Woo Hoo!! Well done AC, is that 24 hrs per week? It’s great to get back into work without early morning starts and it will be good to be covering your expenses and no longer eating into those savings.

    Hello Triple choc/ Mrs p :)
Yes , 24 hours a week . Should keep me on the straight and narrow for a while :)
I've always been pretty flexible in the past. However ,the shifts offered here ( 06.00-12.00/ 14.00-10.00/ 12 am -06.00) would've been too difficult to do because of the distance from my home.

    We'll see how it goes
