Is tonight a good night to pick up bargains?

I would say not particularly, as most shops seem to be open tomorrow (if yours aren't then definitely worth a look)

We'll be going in tomorrow and the day after to look at the joints of meat that have dates on for those days to see if we can get lucky with reductions (only because we noticed a surplus the other day that all have use by dates coming up).

  • Picked up lots of 75% off meat joints, chicken breasts and fresh fish this evening at Tesco, but noticed that they had loads of meat, cheese, cream etc that had Xmas packaging. I would wager tomorrow or Thursday they will be reducing them to clear them out, regardless of the date stamp. Fill your boots (and your freezers!).

My new years resolution for January was not to buy any more reduced food as freezers are stuffed...but couldn't resist the 2 fresh 1.1kg turkey breast joints, stuffed and covered in bacon reduced from £12 to £1.20 each......:D

Sainsburys have reduced their frozen turkeys today. In my local branch they were all BB Dec 14 so should last the year!
