Oil Companies - East Belfast

Hi All,

Does anyone have any recommendations for inexpensive oil within East Belfast? I was a member of the East Belfast oil club, however purchasing through this body is more expensive than going direct to the supplier.

Lagan Oils on Hillhall road are good, and they will deliver.

£190 for 500 litres, a little more expensive than others.

Well perhaps go for one of the others then?

I always pick one of the cheapest from https://www.cheapestoil.co.uk/Heating-Oil-NI (Belfast Heating Oil and Bangor Fuels both coming up at £180). The prices fluctuate so much that sticking with one supplier will normally be more expensive.

I always check cheapestoil, but the cheapest prices are 2 companies I don't recognise. https://www.cheapestoil.co.uk/Heating-Oil-NI?prices=BT5

Anyone used HONI (who don't seem to post their address) or Belfast Heating Oil (who list a PO Box address)?

HONI is Patterson Oil in Craigavon according to whois (https://www.whois.com/whois/heatingoilnorthernireland.co.uk)

Belfast Heating Oil is a bit more complicated, but appears to be Hylands Fuels. Their T&C's have an address, and that address goes back to some Business Suite in Belfast that has 96 companies registered to it. Hylands Fuels seems to be the only one related to this kind of Business at that address, so likely them behind Belfast Heating Oils.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do that for me.

The prices have dropped again & those 2 are still cheapest.

I had a lot of time for Bloomfield Fuels, until their delivery person forgot to fasten my oil tank cap back.
It blew off, rain got in the tank and then completely screwed my boiler.

Word of warning, always check your oil tank cap after you've had oil delivered.
