I have links. The problem is no one is looking at my website to see the links.

Submit to lots of directories, here is a good list
    http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/free-directories.html
go through and submit to all the free ones for a start.

When linking from a directory think about the anchor text i.e. if you sell beds for example, the anchor text could be...

Compare bed prices - then supporting text that expands on the anchor text link.

Use the same phrase on the landing page of the link as in your anchor text of your inbound link. Get plenty of inbound links like this and the view of a search engine is that this page/site is important in the field of bed sales and as such you 'may' get better search engine positions for your keywords.

For search engines to rate your site worthy of anything like a decent position in the search engine results pages you need lots of inbound links. Also, starting reciprocal linking with sites that are on a similar theme will help too.

Try this, it looks good. I haven't tried it my web site yet, but I did use it to generate some code.

    http://www.htmlbasix.com/banner.shtml

I didn't have the URLs handy, so just typed "Put URL 1 here" "put Image 1 here" etc. etc. and generatated the code.

Once done you (I) can add the URLs later, or easily add more.

  • i have got one of those packages from mr site....

but i am stuck ...lol... so a friend is going to set it all up for me.. it is part of my business.... and its main thing is recycling....

i want to generate some income from it if i can by adding relevent sites which sell secondhand or recycled. enviroment friendly products.. that will give me money for any business i pass their way...

apart from the obvious like amazon ...ebay ? etc are there any other sites that could link nicely with my site ?

also is it worth trying to have a search engine link in my website ? which one would pay me the most money? or are they only interested in high traffic/big websites ?

sorry if my questions sound a bit naff but i am going into an area where i havent got a flipping clue..lol....
