Alternative to Fitbit

Hi

My 8yo is badgering me for a children fitbit- he has even saved up to contribute towards it but I’m not willing to shell out £100 for something that he will lose, break, get bored etc. Any cheap alternatives that will do roughly the same thing - tell time, heart rate, pedometer etc

It's the heart rate Fitbits that bump the price up - could you get your son a cheaper Fitbit - the Fitbit Flex 2 does everything he needs apart from the heart rate - steps, distance, sleep, it's water resistant too and they're only around £50-£60

Does he want a fitbit because he has friends with one? You can 'compete' to reach a target etc via fitbit. It's got to be better than him being a couch potato but he seems very young to want this - so why?

Have had a similar one for about a year. Does the job!
