Absolutely love this - chance to play spot the stag's head if anyone feels so inclined, but just enjoy a gorgeous church conversion (spotted it on the Country Life blog earlier and had to share!)

Ooooh - saw this one on one of the TV property !!!!!! shows (George Clarke) Guy made the kitchen out of old pews. Did a cracking job of it (but the wife seemed to disappear half way though filming) Owner opened it up as a sort of home come public/community gallery if I remember right. Lovely though. He also owned the Sunday school next door and I think his plan was to sell this one to do up the school next door to live in.

Apparently it's German for "naked". :rotfl:

My best guess is it's part of the name of the company that made whatever used to be in the box.

The pot next to it apparently says "molds" in French, so probably best not to open that one. (Edit: further googling suggests it may also mean "tin", which is a bit unimaginative, or possibly "mussels".)

Its MOULES! That is a moule pot which you get served moules marinières. The lid is also acts as a receptacle to discard empty shells and mussels that don't open.

I can read what it says (I'm not so decrepit that I need someone to yell it at me :p). I was giving a list of the ways the internet translates it as a follow-on to trying to work out what "bloss" means.
Bloss & Co are a trendy, handbaggy sort of company that probably isn't very MSE. :o

    I'm no moules fool either.

Really hope no one is daft enough to pay this price, never mind that it was up for sale for 18 months before it was bought last year for only £155k what were they thinking with the utility room. Thought open plan meant the space flows and they stick a box in the middle of it! Not to mention the tiny third "bedroom" because they decided to add an en suite!

Plus forgot to mention it's right next to the local costcutter store.

Not to mention the garage stuck right out in front of it - and a carpark for a front garden.

Greedy to expect so much extra after just a few months and not having done a thing to it.

I think quite a lot has been done to it, but it's a case of 'lipstick on a pig,' IMO.

A house of that size doesn't need an en-suite. People would rather have a bigger (and usable) 3rd bedroom than an extra bathroom. They should have left the 1st floor layout as it was.
