Flights to Spain at Easter

Options
We are thinking of going to Spain at Easter to help care for a relative who should have an operation then but it might get cancelled.
If we buy flights last minute will they be a lot more than now?

Depends on a few things, where you go, whether the flights are selling well, when you go and when you return. For choice I would say yes they will only go up in price

Thanks for that, I know that they will go up, I just wonder if it will be a lot or just a little.

Thanks for that, although sadly it just says the chances of prices dropping rather than rising however still useful, thank you.

What I want to find out how, is how much could I lose by waiting. Obviously I could save £x by waiting (if the surgery is cancelled and then we don't go).
    (£x is the current price).

Even if the surgery is cancelled, with a ticket you have bought now at a decent price you could still go for a visit and holiday...

Flight prices are volatile. Nobody here has a crystal ball to answer your question.

It might be worth exploring flexible tickets (Easyjet?) or other ways of getting there such as ferry and driving that allow date changes.

You are assuming that prices will go up.

They could, of course, come down if seats remain unsold closer to Easter.

With Easter being very late this year school holidays will be at their end so the usual demand from families with school aged children will not be there.

    The choice is yours.

Yes but if you look in the blue box below the 'Book This Flight Via Momondo' you will see more info about the flight prices.
( Do NOT book via Momondo !! )
I use it in conjunction with Google Flights.

Btw most UK schoolchildren go back to school Tuesday 23rd April, so Sunday 21st and and Monday 22nd will have more demand and price rises for returning flights to the UK.
