MSE Poll: Is it OK to use a 2for1 voucher on a first date?

Love is in the air… well, maybe, it's the week of Valentine's Day at least, so time for our traditional poll. Is it acceptable to use a 2for1 restaurant voucher on a first date?

We've asked this in previous years – so let's see if attitudes have changed. (PS: Yes we know splitting the bill is a valid option too, but that's a poll for another day…)

I'm not sure which type of person I think is the oddest:
1 - Someone who has a valid discount voucher for a meal (or any other purchase for that matter) but chooses not to use it.
2 - Someone who would think less of another person because they do use said voucher

I actually did go on a date with a guy who had a 2for1 voucher. When the bill came, he paid for his beer (not covered by the voucher) and left me to pay for the rest!

Needless to say we did not meet again.

I can't see any reason why you can't use a two for one voucher on a first date!

I believe it would be almost rude not to use it.
There's a difference between being financially savvy and being mean.

As with the mobile data poll we've seen a few times, I'm guessing they're trying to measure changes in attitude in any given scenario (Y)
