What I need to do on my V4 Dialler spread-sheet, is
to replace the '*2*9' part of the 'local numbers' spec
by something which means *2*9 followed by at least
one other digit in the range 0 to 9. Is that possible?
Why? Well I bought a 'call blocker' and have it wired in,
but it uses single digit tones from a phone (1,2 -- etc)
to initiate it's command functions - but the dialler adds
digits after as soon as it sees *2*9 most times of day
Hope it's not too much of a fag, but sorry, I am at a loss!0 -

Both I and my daughter have a call blocker ( I've got truecall she has BT call guardian ) with an Orchid box and have no issues. The connection is
phone
call blocker [ combined for BT ]
orchid
phone socket
The commands get trapped by the call blocker before they get to the Orchid.
However is you have the Orchid box first, you can dial 121 Override Prefix to pass the commands through the Orchid to the call blocker.
The only other thing I can think of is setting up 10 different rules for *2*90, *2*91 etc to *2*99 for your cheap call routing, and having *2*9 set to no (0) routing. The orchid box should match the longest code to decide the route. I've not tried this!
or possibly *2*9*0*9 so any digit 2-9 followed by any digit 0-9 via cheap call, and *2*9 with no routing. Again I've not tried this!
Or remove the *2*9 rule completely and always dial the full number including STD code.0 -
Thank you for reminding me of the 121 override possibility.
I will use that until I try *2*9*0*9 when I change the clock.0 -
Okay - so I tried *2*9*0*9 today and it did NOT work.
But then I thought to try *20*99 and that DID'NT work.
Of course, what I have found ( re Call Blockers ) is that
the scam callers now tend to with-hold their number, so
you either have to barr all withheld numbers; which are
also widely used by doctors and hospitals; or be pestered.0 -
Glad to see this thread is still going
I want to update my rather old version of the routing table spreadsheet (V1.4.0) but the download link for Auto_Routing_Table_v1_9 is not working for me. Can someone please let me have a valid link?
TIA

Let me have an email address and I'll send you a copy of the program.
heinz121[at]gmail.comTime has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

I just downloaded the file from zippyshare but the “Config” worksheet (at the top left of the screen in config.) is showing as version 1.4.0 - which is the same as the one I have.
I may still be looking for the most up-to-date version therefore as V1.4.0 is not outputting the correct tones with my PCI modem under Windows 10 whereas in the past I had no problems with earlier Windows. I’m hoping that the later version might correct that.
If anyone has Version 1.9 I am still interested. You can send me a private message, thanks.

Has anyone got a USB modem that they know works with Win10 and the Orchid box? I had an old XP laptop with internal modem that has worked for years, but that's now died permanently.0
